Stable friction coefficient and durable

Ceramic-composite is the latest Non-Asbestos Organic(NAO) compound. It is made of DuPont Kevlar, ceramic fiber, copper, and other non-metal fillers.

The advantage of composite material is it could combine materials with different properties. For example, copper fibers have high friction coefficient, but unlike other metal material, it is rotor friendly and has good braking power at low working temperature. It exhibits consistency in performance within the tolerable working temperature and does not show signs of brake fade.

When compared to other brake pad materials, ceramic compound brake pads are quieter and produce less dust and particles when braking is applied.

Under various driving conditions, it is relatively more durable, stable, and has a wider range of temperature tolerance. Ceramic can dissipate heat quickly, thus its structure can be adjusted based on different formulations to satisfy the needs of different requirements.

However, composite materials have high production costs, which make them often the most expensive among all brake pad types.
